#1 Diversity: Gender, Sex and Romance
I woke up to today’s Google Doodle which commemorates Baker’s 66th birthday — and the flag that made him famous.
In Lilly Singh's words, it was as if I spontaneously scheduled inspiration and decided to write a series of blog post to demystify and deblur the various misconceptions and ignorance that exists around the terms of the gender spectrum.
But before I get into that I just wanted to share this piece of writing I found from Gilbert Baker's site, especially for those who feel one's sexual orientation is merely about mating.
"The original Rainbow Flag had eight colors, each with an individual meaning: pink for sex, red for life, orange for healing, yellow for the sun, green for nature, turquoise for magic, blue for serenity, and purple for the spirit."
You will notice that this is only the first part of the whole series I plan to expound. This is because there officially are 51 recognised genders for now and I would never be able to do justice to all of them in one single post.
On this note, let's get into it!
The difference between Agender, Asexual and Aromantic
The difference between Bigender, Bicurious and Bisexual
What is Demiromantic and Demisexual then?
